check engine light

Postby Guest » Sat Jul 12, 2003 10:20 am

That Stupid check engine light is on again, after i tried to put an injen intake on. I disconnected my battery, It came on. I took in to the dealer (with the old air intake box) they said i might have a cylinder sensor malfunction, other than that they're stumped. So they want me to try a regular toyota filter, and if that doesnt work..... What im trying to say is that im tired of going to the dealer. Would any of you guys or ladies give me any answer to this ordeal, suggestions?, or have any of you ever dealt with something like this? SORRY FOR THE LONG MESSAGE> :o

Just put back your stock air box and reset the battery. If your check engine light still on, then i am sure the problem is coming from the motor. If not, then i would see a loose vacum line or your car is running rich. I think some people here have air intake problem too. Register in this site and ask properly in right section, people should help you out!
