hey this might sound like a noob question but i have a 99 white solara sle gold package im planing to replace my rear struts and i was wondering if anyone knows of any diys for this or if someone could simply tell me where and how to locate the top of the strut mounts, i went into my trunk and pulled the carpet back to get to the struts but there was a metal plate, and from the out side it looks like as if it was located near the rear speakers, some one please help i need to do this asap, im sick of people saying they feel like they are in the back of a school bus LOL FML and i need to get rid of that ugly rattling sound thats comes along with it haha, so if any solara fellow members could help thats would mean alot, thanks for all your guys/gals times :drinking:

I have all that crap out of my car right now too. Not for the struts though, I did that this summer. I am working on the rear speakers, EVERYthing has to come out. Yeah it sucks. Have Fun!!! :sweet:

Could be that your top nut is still loose.

Did you replace the rear strut mounts too??
