Overhead console for 2000

I bought my car new off the lot, so I didn't get to specify options or anything. One thing I wished I had all this time was the overhead console (instead of the "sunglass holder"). So does anyone know the official name for this part? How much do they go for? Can it be installed with little skill? What features does it have?

I didn't even know they had an overhead console. I just have my little sunglasses/money pocket up there. Whats it supposed to have? Garage door opener stuff or something?

Maybe you're referring to the control panel for a sunroof? Does your car have a sunroof? On sunroof cars, that panel has the sunroof controls, a small compartment for something only the Japanese know about, and a switched "courtesy" light.

If it helps you any, a 2000-2005 has the same part, plug and play, easy to pull off and put in the new one.

Hmm, maybe I was mistaken. I thought they offered an info-center-type console that goes on the roof. Maybe it's just the garage door opener. I don't have a sun/moonroof.

nope, just the Garage Door opener.. I also have a 2000 SLE V6 and that's what it came with...
