o2 sensor CEL code repair/part help

Postby pro956 » Tue Apr 03, 2012 8:12 am

My CEL came on so I stopped by AZ and go this info:
h02s11 heater condition (heated oxygen sensor bank 1 sensor 1)
the powertrain control module monitors the oxygen sensor heater. The computer has recognized a failure in this circuit.

Probably causes:
Oxygen sensory defective, poor connection at oxygen sensor, or check circuit-fuse.

I assume I need to change my O2 sensor, can someone tell me the part number? I tried to search the CEL code h02s11, but I can't find any info on it here. Everything here is in Pxxxx...

Can someone point me towards the correct part?

Also, could someone describe/send a pic of where the fault sensor is?
Thanks!

Thats because h02s11 isn't a code, thats telling you what sensor it is. Its the one in the rear manifold.

You'll have to get under the car to see it. There's no way to get to it from the top. And that's the sensor after the cat. You want 2344622

Well I got under my car and found the sensor, but it was hard as hell to reach. Knowing where it was underneath made it easy to find from the top and I think I will replace it from the top now as it appears to be more accessible that way.

I believe it is right there in the middle:

I ordered the new sensor and a 22mm. I'll let you know how it goes. If anyone Marylanders want to help out, let me know!

I honestly think you'll be better off going from under, just put the car in jacks, its not a hard job.. The wrench may work, but you have a better chance of rounding it off vs an O2 sensor wrench. Be sure to hit it some breakfree or pb blaster
