Unique solara emblems

Unique solara emblems

Postby minig646 » Mon Jul 02, 2012 9:26 am

Does anyone else think it would be cool if the solara had its own unique emblem, kind of like the mkiii supra or jdm mr2? Other cars in its class have them, like the Monte Carlo and Buick Reatta. Someone with some graphic design chops should design one. Just an idea that popped into my head at 2 am... Maybe it's a dumb idea but it doesn't hurt to get other opinions...

Actually I think this is a good idea... But i guess the most predominant emblem people use is TRD.

Yea but most people with TRD badges don't actually have TRD solaras. Me included.

Something like this (but ovular) would be sweet.

Made with the "S" from "Solara" on the trunk lid... In the time it would've taken me to figure out photoshop I could've just gone to the junkyard and found a bunch of emblems to cut up. So that's what I did. Opinions/suggestions?

I like that!! The only thing is that if I remember correctly from when i debadged is that the S isnt all too big. How big is it? As big as the toyota badge?

Thanks! The chrome rings are actually the old toyota badges with the happy cowboy cut out of the center and that's the same S in both pictures. So those would fit right where the old ones were.

Nah, just shave it or keep it stock. I dont see a need for a custom logo. Ive gotten people ask me "is your car an actual TRD solara"
I say no but half the crap in there is. A lot of ppl think my car came the way it is from the dealership and i just slapped wheels on it and slammed it. lol

Especially now dude! back when i joined it was a little easier to come across rsb, renovas, almost anything TRD was a little easier to get. now its harder people who have TRD parts on our cars should cherish them and if you do sell it, sell em for a good price and dont let lowballers get you.

Im proud of these cars and how rare they are with the proper parts.

Problem with shaving for me is faded paint... I gotta have something there. It's this or the old Toyota badges.
