Steering Wheel

Steering Wheel

Postby Mkulina » Fri Aug 31, 2012 1:51 pm

has anyone ever transplanted the smaller diameter wheel from the gen 2 into a gen 1 car? Or has anyone ever grafter say a Corolla wheel into one? I am looking to replace a worn wheel and get some gut room at the same time. But I do , of course, want a working airbag.

Thank ya kindly...Mike

I love my big ole steering wheel. It's not a sports car, after all.

well the quick release set up isnt that much, of course they dont have the set up for a solara, but the NRG quick release set up off a 2000 toyota celica gt-s works perfect with ours. the hub and quick release i beleive is 150-170. The steering wheel itself can get expensive. a NRG wheel can cost you 60-120. then you have sparco, momo, nardi, etc etc. The nardi's run anywhere from 200-400

Sent mine out and had it wrapped in real leather for less than $300. The black was an afterthought but I like how it turned out:
