Intermittent ABS light and brakes locking up.

hey I just got some new tires up front recently. They are 225/60/16 and my rears are 205/50/16. A couple days later my ABS light came on and off. Now every once an a while under a hard brake situation the wheels lock up and I can't stop my car unless I pump and slam the brakes when the ABS kicks in. Could my offset be messing with my ABS sensors throwing it out of wack? When the abs kicks in my car will not stop unless I use emergency and pump the brake. yikes!!!

I'd say tire size definitely has something to do with it. That's a 1.5in difference in diameter.

Tires most likely !! The ABS system is seeing different speeds from the front and rear. It also is seeing that one end stops faster than the other !! You need to run 4 properly sized tires on the car and see what it does. I will bet it will drive much better !!

You disabled your ABS just in time for winter. I like your style. I think I'll keep mine though.
