Rattling noise from 1rst Gen SLE

Every once in a while for the past three months I hear a rattling sound coming from the engine. It doesn't start right away. It becomes noticeable after I drive around for a while. The sound seems like its coming from the area where the timing belt is. Anybody have a suggestion/diagnosis?

I would watch the area while the engine is running and see if any thing is moving weird, then shut her off and check all the peripheral bolts/attachments for tightness. Lastly, if you haven't already, replace the timing belt. Good luck :D

Thanks. I'll give that a try in the AM.

Update: I recently had both knock sensors replaced (because one went bad) and for some reason the sound has gone away. Which is weird because I would think one wouldn't have anything to do with the other.
