need help with under engine splash guard

Hi all...recently bought a certified O2 SE V6 from the dealer. I was inspecting it and found the under engine splash guard is missing. When I asked about it, the dealer said it didn't come with the model! Are they BSing me or what??? Since my cars certified, can I get them to replace it??? Do any of your cars have it?? Any replies are greatly appreciated.
