Major Problem w/ brake pads...Need Some Help!
Ok guys, finally got enough time to change out my brake pads, put in my SS lines, and change brake fluid..
but yea, i didn get around to the last two because I have some major brake pad issues...
A while back I went to Autozone and picked up some PFC Carbon Metallic brake pads...
So I pop out the old ones and put the new ones in no problem.. then when I went to put the caliper back on... it wouldnt GO back on.. It simply wasnt wide enough... The caliper wouldnt slide back onto the shims so yea.. Im kinda screwed...
I called around other Autozones in my area and they all had the same part number coz maybe the store I had got it at (another state) might of had it all wrong..
So I went to go examine my old pads with my new ones, the new ones had double the thickness of my old pads.. I wasnt really suprised because the pads WERE 55k old...so I kinda expected it to be like that... But when the caliper wouldnt go back on... i knew something had to b hella wrong... Is that how thick your guys' pads were?.. Or were they still relatively skinny?
If ne1 has run into this pls respond as soon as u can
thanks alot guys!
