traction control and 8 speaker in SLE???

i have my 2000 Solara not long ago... the owner said is SLE but i don't get any emble on the back or the side because it has upgrade to TRD kits and muffer n not sure suspension... i know i have the 6 disc in dash change but where the all the 8 speakers at, i can only see 4 on front and 2 at the back??? also how do i know i have traction control??? i saw once in ebay with pict. of the traction control butt. in the year of 99 but my car don't has that???

the rears are prob "2 in one" which are 2 things(lows and highs) rolled into one speaker.

as for traction control im curious as well b/c a member on here who has a SLE does not have the option of turniing the traction off or on with the flick of a switch. so perhaps it may be in the 2001+ cars??? who knows... maybe it were best for toyota to leave the traction to always on.

Hmmm, I never looked into the speakers myself.

I have a 2000 SLE and the traction control button is right behind the automatic shifter. It's a small rectangular button with "TRAC" on it.

there are only 4 speakers 6X9' in the back and 6.5 in the doors plus tweeters...

my car has it....though traction control doesn't really do anything it helps somehwat when it's wet outside..but otherwise it doesn't do much

What does having a trd kit and muffler have to do with shaving off the emblems? Without the emblems on the side I usually just think of it as an i4 solara, so I dunno y people would do it. Are u sure it's an SLE, check under the hood for an v6 engine..

please dont re-badge what your car does not have. it gives a horrible rep.

i shaved mine since it gives a "cleaner" look. plus i like the fact that people think im a 4 banger.

if u look in the manual or online i believe they say the there are "8 speakers in 6 locations". more than likely the rears are two ways....but i'm not sure.

as far as sle .... i believe u should have auto dimming mirrors, sunroof, and leather. ohh yea v6 engine too. i believe these options came on all sle but not ONLY sle's.

i think i have everythings of the SLE has... but just not sure about the traction control because this also optional on SLE... i didn't take those badge off thats how is it when i have the car... only has all those TRDs badge on it

i asked a long time ago about the traction control and the dealer said that traction control did not come standard on all SLE"s but was a factory added option that you could have. so many SLE"s did not have traction control , even tho the gauges have it there....

True that, I have a TRAC OFF light, but no button.....and for whoever said 'All SLE's have a sunroof,' nice try. I wholeheartedly believe that my SLE is one of maybe 20 ever made without one. And I'd much rather have a standard sunroof than some 'Made in a sweatshop in Taiwan'-quality Auto-Dimming mirror.

yea just a heads up bout toyota...toyota many times makes cars that come with some options not on, like the old generation camry v6xle could be bought without leather, very hard to find, but nonetheless made like that. and lets not forget that there are some 92-96 base model camry v6's with no power windows and a 5 speed manual tranny, few but they exist. or the SC300 with the 5 speed manual tranny
