funny noise

Does it sound like a minor squeak? If so, I have that too. It's because of the cold and the steering mechanisms adjusting to the change in temperature.

I got that too. It just started about a week and a half ago, yet I've had the car since April 2000 and this is the first time I've heard it. I never heard it in another car, but I've never owned another car.

Is there any way to make the noise go away?

this problem is typical on gen 5 camry's, we usually solve it by lubing the steering boot.

RichD978- if i were you, i'd try to lube any visable area that can leak into the closed areas you can't get to.
