Front bumper cover

Postby pythonjosh » Thu Mar 04, 2004 9:34 am

I've got to replace mine. The cheapest and in fact ONLY place I've found
the front bumper cover is at http://www.autopartsland.com. I haven't got one yet but I plan on going through these guys. Only $35! Hard to beat that. Has anybody else bought from this company before? They list the Solara as '97-'99 and '00-'01 when they weren't made until 99, and didn't the gen 1.5 start in 2001? Hope this helped you, I've been needing a new bumper cover since July. :drinking: . If you go through this company let me know. I plan ordering my cumper cover in the next week or two. I'll post pics of the new bumper cover when I get it.

"Only $35! Hard to beat that."
Are we talking about the same part. I find it hard to believe a bumper cover for only $35.

The actual bumper cover, ie the piece of fiberglass that holds the fog lights. The part you paint. Check out the website. The OEM price is $1?? and 'your' price is $35. Sweet deal if they don't try to screw us. If you want to wait for me to get mine and post my response to their service. I'll let you know.

All the b.shop got to do is primer and spray! You can primer it yourself...and save on the cost. Local shops around my place charge close to $150 for the whole thing! your getting ripped for paying anything over 175 for paint+install!

San Jose, CA it's $550 for paint and install. My total estimate for replacing my rear bumper cover is $800! Ouch.

I have to replace both my bumpers coz of some stupid ppl at school. "Hit and run" is the rule down here. Anyways, I went to couple shops to replace the front bumper (coz it was damaged the most) and the price ranged from $480-600 for parts+labor. That was sometime around August. I had a look at the website pythonjosh posted and remembered that I was about to order the parts from there. It was $92 for the one thats saying $35 now.
I didn't replace the bumpers still, coz I thought I'd put my money towards performance for this time at least.

Man, why are you guys paying so much to have someone else install your bumper(s)? I gotta wait for my tax return to get this thing. I've just got to replace this and a little grapefruit sized body work and it'll look just like new. This weekend I'm totally taking out all my interior, seats, center console, and carpet too. The previous owner had some spills and I'd just rather clean everything. Gonna steam clean the carpet too. Later
