IMO, the diamond white pearl paint doesn't match gunmetal or black rims very well...machine polished or silver coated rims tend to look better. I think black rims are better coordinated with plain white cars, but generally darker rims look better with darker cars...but that's just me

I bought used rims and if they are scratched to hell I'm going to powder-coat them silver. I have a white solara too and I'm not a fan of the black on white. Silver is much better, even gunmetal is cool too.

I really like it when the rim matches the color of the car. I'm sure white rims on a white car will look good.

Black rims = too NASCAR. IMO white rims on a white car look the best
Nascar would be a sport if half the cars were driving the other direction.

I think unless you got a paint shop to exactly match the paint on the car to the wheel would it be acceptable. Remember the diamond white pearl is not exactly the bright hospital white they put on white rims. It'd look funny with a bright white rim when the body's color, which I like alot better than plain white because its pearlescent and offwhite at different angles, is different.

Go either for a paintshop to hook it up like that, or just get some chrome/silver/polished rims to go with that diamond white.

I like silver on white.

Really dark rims on a white car makes me think steelies at first glance.

I think white rims looks pretty good on black too, but not sure about on the Solara.

I would have to say silver looks best..unless..you have a carbon fiber hood. In that case..get gunmetal rims w/ polished lip :D
