I asked tweazy about this on camryman.org (way back in the day) and he said that his signal bulbs sorta went out and they only comes on when he turns on the signal....I think it looks 23983298 better to drive without them on. (with headlights on of course)

Solaras dont have side markers and I know for bmw e46s all you have to rewire the headlight wires to the sidemarkers and the signal lights wont light up when the headlights are on.

any suggestions?

Easy

My signal light is off when my headlight is on. when I signal, it signal. All you do is look at the signal bulb and tape up one black connecter thingy on the bottom of the bulb. Theres two on the bottom of the bulb. make sure you tape out the right one. one of them lights up when your headlight is on and the other one is when you signal. You have to make sure tape up the right one.

I also ask Tweazy way back then too. He told me, it just way out. I figure out a way to disconnect it. That was the easiest way. I couldn't find anything that match my purple HIDs. Hope this helps.

I used electrical tape. I been using it for over a year now and it's been fine. I just checked on it rite now and it looks fine to me. It should take you no more than 5 mins. very easy.

Hummm, i thought it could be done without any problem.

Just replace your signal light 1157 with 1156 bulbs, and you're set. The other day I accidently put the 1156 in my signal lights, and didn't see them ON at night but worked as I signaled.

I had the setup for weeks before switching back to the 1157 because I want to see my signal light ON when using the remote starter.

Just try it, you'll be amazed.

Fenix: Any things lights up on the instrumt cluster indicating burnt out lights? (ie. rather than using a dual fillament bulb...just use the single fillament bulb) . Anything wrong with that set up?

I ask cus i tried going the single fillament route on my corners..and my lights became hyper flashers (yeah they didn't light with the headlights - but did with indicators - I didn't like them flashing at a higher rate). Hence i went back. Fenix: can u confirm that your indicators work normally..and that your parking corner lights don't light up??? thanks

Jhbhatia,

Nothing lighted up in the cluster. Everything was fine, the flash was normal.

Nothing was wrong, but at that time I thought it was illegal. It was kinda cool, maybe I should go back to it :D .

how about running the foglights alone, or even foglights with signal lights only and no headlights? how would you do that?

Well if you disable the corners to only run when signaling then if you keep the switch to the first click only the fog lights and corners turn on. After the next click the headlights come on? No? I could be dreaming or getting confused with my wifes old alero.
