i bought solarat's intake and i was just wondering how to install the intake properly.

my car buddy who used to be a mechanic is telling me to make sure to ask you guys about air control solenoids (vacuum switching valves) (this guy only knows european cars or something) I guess the check engine light would come on and cause maximum annoyance by causing odd hot start problems etc etc.

to tell you the truth, its common sense dude. just bolt it on. yes you have to attatch the vacume lines and the MAF sensor but it will be obvious where those go.

Nah he did not get the CAI extention. Solaradude got the short ram only. ^ No need to mess with the fuse box.

Solaradude. It's real simple. Look at a pic of mine and you will see were all the sensors go. It can't be easier. No CE light when you put the sensors were they need to go! UPS just picked it up 5 mins ago. You should get it tommorow dude!

Slolardude,
Read this thread...You will more than likely need a longer tube for one of the sensors (The one in the top right were the red silicone is inside the hole). You can pick one up and an autozone or pepboys...cheap. Just take the black hose that already exist at the sensor with you so they can give you a longer one. Get like 1.5 feet or something and you can cut it down to the comfertable size you need.

This should be in one of those "How to install sensors on your Injen Short Ram...for dummy’s" books. No confusing sensor names.. "Tube that connects to round sensor is what I had to get replaced because the stock one was 2 short."

Yeah it's really not that hard to install the Injen Intake. I just installed mine yesterday! and love it. It freaken growls like crazy :D

The only hard part for me was trying to take the stock OBD canister tube out - it was a b!tch. I put some oil on a screwdriver and slid it underneath the tube, and was eventually able to get the tube off.

Good luck!
