after a couple of phone calls to solarat....it happened. 8)

I really cant tell any difference but I do feel like I've lost some torque in the 20-40 mph range, im not sure about the high end though but it still sounds cool when I start the engine 8)

The way I drive my 4 banger....man, I drive it like a V6. I literally floor it all the time and shift at around 3.5 or 4k rpms. Now with the intake, I've been gettin this "RICEY" BRROOM sound out of it when I drive it. Is this normal? Maybe I should drive my car a little bit less wrecklessly. 8)

now I just have to punch holes in the intake tube so I get that "blow-off valve" shhhhhhhhhhhh noise :drinking:

yes its normal to get the broom sound. thats how all short rams sound. i hope youre joking about the punch holes into the intake tube because you will be letting unfiltered air into your engine.

Man you just loco Steve. Clean the filter and it will help you out. It's DIRTY as heck! The filter should look blue and it's almost black

Don't punch any holes anywere! That would be ricey and damage your car.

short Intake alone is not going to give dramatic hp gains anyway especialy since the rest is stock.

If you were to do a dyno with the hood closed even the numbers would be higher than stock.

It depends on what kind of exaust system you are running. With Stock exaust system the CAI sounds real deep. Almost double from sort ram.
Once you have better flow to exaust the sound evens out.
v6 with S/C people have said that they hear the S/C whine louder.
