the auto adds about 70 lbs... I think the v6 was rated AROUND 3200 (manual)

But does the few lbs difference really matter? =P If you wanted to do any weight reduction, you'd do it regardless of what your current weight is anyhow... probably knowing the actual weight of the car would make you sad lol

I don't think they included the spare tire or wheels in those measurements.

Yeah this would be good to know. I need to know for this Digimoto software I'm getting that can clear and read CE lights and can do many other readings like 0-60, 1/8th, & 1/4 mile. But in order for those to work I would need to enter the weight of the car + me + anything else in the car that is not included between the car and me.

Jeff, can you get these from were you job?

Thanks!
Louis

Yes, I can get those from where I job lol

I can get the weight of the car, but that's still w/o fluids and crap also... so it'll take some work but I can get most of the measurements w/o anyone actually having to take some parts and measuring their weight... but I don't work until Wednesday :P

Recycling Center

Postby solrchrgd » Mon May 31, 2004 12:18 pm

I went to my local Recycling Center to weigh my 2000 Solara SE V6. It weighed 3410 with a full tank of gas plus myself(or subtract 150lbs). So about 3260lbs. I did have aftermarket rims which were quite heavy 25lbs each for a 17X7. Plus I have a CF hood. So this isn't really going to help you. I needed the weight to input into the G-tech.

Your best bet to be accurate is to weigh your own car. If you don't have any Recycling Centers with scales try a truck stop.

Yeah I might as well go for a dyno tune and have them weigh it for me and I can add my 215lb :D

At least I can enter an estimate into the software and see.

I've poked around, and I see very little that would reduce the weight of the car without sacrificing comfort (i.e., sound deadening material, spare tire, etc...). I say, keep the car stock weight wise and enjoy the car for what it is... :fadein:
