Greddy Evo Rattle...Resolved?

Hello all!

Well it's been 3 months since I installed the Greddy Evo II catback and it's been for about the last 3 weeks I've noticed this rattle sound when driving off of a stop or just revving in neutral up to 1.5k then it would stop and smooth out. The sound was coming from the back as it was touching the heat shield. You know that metal to metal sound? Nasty sound! I was going to have it looked at for possible leak as no metal was touching.

Well yesterday I happen to change my oil, add fuel injector cleaner into the gas tank, replace the PCV valve + clean out the hose, & use fuel injection cleaner aerosol spray into the throttle body. (Half a can)

I had hesitation when starting up but after giving it some gas the car started with massive white smoke coming out of the back.

I took the car for a quick spin to mix everything around and I was not even looking to hear anything as my intentions were not to fix that sound. Just routine maintenance stuff.

Today I went to the store and had the windows down. I could not help to notice that the annoying rattle sound was GONE!! I was like. NO way! So I revved it up to make sure and it's absolutely gone and sounds just as smooth as when I first installed it.

Anyways. . I'm happy it's not a leak because I did not want to mess around to fix it.
Any ideas of how sound could occur by having dirty throttle body/injectors? :drinking: I'm sure that with the stock muffler you can't tell because the sound is suppressed allot more.

EDIT!! Shoot! I just went back and this time opened the door and noticed the sound but verry faint not as loud as it was before. ARRRGG! LEAK? How can I check?

Don't forget to take advantage of the $29.99 Mobil 1 special at AutoZone.
