Just search for FM Transmitter. You won't get the design of the ones made specifically for the iPod, but it'll work.

The generic ones (ie, not made for any specific player, not that they're generic companies) just have a ministereo cable that you plug into the sound out of your player.

do a search for "fm transmitter -ipod" on ebay and you'll see some...

Here's something to look out for...

Some transmitters only transmit to three or four preset frequencies... if you're somewhere where all those frequencies are used, tough luck... so I'd look for one that can be set to any frequency.

it shouldn't be a problem to find a generic one as cklinh said. The real term is a FM Modulator.

However, you do lose quality when you go with a FM Modulator

Yeah, if you still have your stock radio, you're better off getting a cassette adapter.

STOCK HU:
Simple as putting in tape, connecting other end to MP3 player, done.

AFTERMARKET HU (This is where it gets tricky):
If it has an RCA jack (the red and white ones you usually see on DVD/VCR/TV sets; yellow is for video and not used for sound, of course), go to RadioShack and get an RCA male to 3.5mm adapter. Here's 2 options:

RCA Male > 3.5mm female: Also buy a 3.5mm male to male connector (eww ), and route the RCA end to your HU, then drill an inconspicuous hole somewhere and make it a jack (e.g. next to 2nd jack below ashtray), then plug the connector into the jack and then to the MP3 player.
Advantage:
Stealth when not in use, the connector wires are a lot thinner
Disadvantage:
You'd have to have the 3.5mm connector somewhere handy.

RCA Male > 3.5mm male: connect the RCA end to your HU and the 3.5mm end directly to your MP3 player and route it through the back of the ash tray (or even inside the glove compartment).
Advantage: Won't need a connector
Disadvantage: the presence of thicker wires, wires may disappear into glove compartment if not secured to something or unable to close ash tray after installing through ash tray, and *EDIT* you won't be able to control your MP3 player if it's in the glovebox.

To play, tune your radio to AUX mode; some radios would need you enable AUX mode beforehand (true with Pioneer) and jam away. If I ever get an MP3 player, I'd do the same thing, so thank you for getting me thinking since I'm not a big fan of Apple, Inc.

you guys apparently have never used a legitamite fm modulator, not some Ibeam peice of crap. Go to BB or CC and get an fm modulator, they run about 40 to 50 bones. you have to tie into power ground and your antenna. You have to wire up a switch on the fm modulator, you have to turn it off when your not using it, or else you won't be able to listen to normal radio. You will also need to by a headphone to rca wire, this will plug into the fm modulator. you will need to unplug your antenna from the radio, plug it into the fm modulator and then use the fm modulator antenna wire and plug it into the radio.

this is your option beside going to an aftermarket radio.
