It can get pretty costly depending on what you want to do with it, what kind of subs they are, and what you want to paint the enclosure ya know.

I'd be interested to know as well.

What kind of subs are you getting BTW?

You can do it yourself, it is VERY easy! If you want some instructions let me know (check out my fiberglass work on my kick panels: http://www.solaraguy.org/viewtopic.php? ... highlight= )

I am currently making a glass sub enlousure for my new Morel-USA (now called Renaissance audio) Cannon sub. I will be taking pics of my work, and can send them to you.

Hope this helps,

It took me about 4 hours (but I used a heat gun to speed up the cure time of the fiberglass). Here is a price break down:
Glass cloth: $5.00
Glass mat: $5.00
Glass resin: $11.00
Bondo: $8.00
Vinyl: $16.00 per yard (used less then 1 yard for kick panels).
Spray adhesive: $9.00 per can (used less than 1 can)

Total: $54.00

Matching the vinyl to the cars interior took hours (3 hours). You need to pull one of your kick panels off and bring it to your nearest (largest) fabric shop. Compare it to each and every roll they have (which is about the same color) even if you are sure you have matched it very closely. I should be starting the subwoofer on friday night, and should have it done by sunday afternoon (I am re-doing the entire trunk to match the interior of the car, so it may take me two weekends, but NO other Solara's trunk will look as good!).

Adum-Bom, I like the thought you put into your design, with the angles on the subs and what what, but you are missing two important things:

1) You should have seperate air space for each sub. Translation: you should split the box down the center internally so both subs have seperate enclousures.

2) One of your subs has a forward leaning position, it should be facing twards the rear of the car for the best sound.

Other than that you did a very nice job.
