I've also been looking at the AVIC D2 for quite a while, but was a little bit jealous of the Z1's Bluetooth capabilities.

Pioneer just announced a AVIC D3 at CES, looks like a really nice option and should be priced similar to the D2. Looks like it plays back a ton of video formats, bluetooth and sat radio modules, and most importantly can change the entire back light color & theme to match that of your dash. (great if you're factory green like me) and even if you're not, nice and easy to get a consistent look.

Here's two links link:

I had a Pioneer D-2 for a little while, until my car got broken into and someone tried to take it. They were unsuccessful because it was installed with the factory screws. Now the screen is cracked, but I can still listen to music (sat/cd/and radio). For the month that it was fully functional, I loved it. The NavTraffic option was a wonderful feature to have, and helped me to avoid traffic (even though there is a delay in the information received). I upgraded to this from the stock radio, and there was a phenominal improvement in sound quality, and I absolutely love the capability of playing mp3 cd's. My one big gripe was that i wish there was some type of way to quickly scroll through tracks on an mp3 cd. It takes a couple seconds for the song titles to load, and it only dislpays ~6 tracks on the screen at a time if I remember correctly. It also doesn't play DVD's, but most people really don't need that anyway. Once I move out of my apartment, I will more than likely get this unit again or the D-3, depending upon price. I hope this helps.
