Right now, I have a JBL BP300.1 amp and it's powering my 2 12" Rockford Fosgate RFZ1412 in a sealed box. They both take like 200W max according to the specs I could dig up on these. I know I can get the same effect as these two subs in a single sub and save myself lots of space. I'll probably end up putting that sub into a ported box. I was wondering what sub I should go with for equivilent (or better) SPL and pretty good SQ. I don't want to get a new amp so I'm looking for something that can use about 300W RMS. What do you guys think about the Alpine Type-R?

im thinking bout selling He2's sometime in future..they aren't powerful enuff..i wanna get the RF Team Subs or something like that....

Well, I just got a Type-R with ported box so that's what I'm putting in. I thought those two Rockford Punch 100W RMS subs provided some nice enough bump for my Accord so hopefully this one Type-R 300W RMS will provide the same bump, but I've been told it has alot better SQ. I would go with 2 of them but then I need to get a better amp and I need that money for other mods to my baby, so I'll deal with what I got for now.
