Sony Xploid = crap

I made a huge mistake by buying Sony xploid 6x9.... I hope that others can learn from my mess up.... the amount of time spent to get to the rear speakers makes it worth your time and money to buy the best & save your self the frustration of buying speakers that sound worse than the stock speakers

Dont feel bad. I put some Pyle speakers in my Solara. What F*%&* garbage!
I've ordered some Polk Audio db6500 for the fronts and some Polk db690 for the rears. It's all I could afford for now. Hopefully there a lot better. Sony has definitely hit new lows. http://www.afterdawn.com/news/archive/7044.cfm

ive said it once, ill say it again, the stock jbl's are just fine by me. though if i were to change the speakers in my ride id go with bose or pioneer. i had xplodes in my *cough* altima *cough* and thought they were just fine, although the stock speakers in that thing sucked a huge one so anything i put in would have been better.

Bose doesn't make aftermarket car audio, and if they did they would suck as bad as their home stuff.

Bose- Better sound through Marketing  :drinking:

That amount of time energy and money should have been spent on upgrading your front speakers. I don't use rear speakers at all, and it sound better that way ;)

But I do have GOOD front speakers with PLENTY of power, and LOTS of deadening.

Ditto. I regret doing my 6x9's. Will be re-installing the stocks when I rip apart the back seat again to put in the sirius tuner.

i think if i ever changed out any of my stock speakers i would have to go memphis, when i had 8 12's they were memphis and my 4 15s were also memphis and i only blew 1 sub with both systems. and the great thing is you get an over the counter exchange at most dealers.

Homies just bought them for his TT Stealth.
They ok.

I have Alpine Type S on all 4 corners of my system.
I love them, the only bad thing is that the rear rattles to "Big Money" off of "My Sassy Girl" soundtrack.
I think i know what makin' it rattle to; will be goin' to fix that soon hopefully.
