well dts is dolby, but the main difference is dts is about 3db's higher in the rears.

i think dts is better than dolby digital.

dts is totally different than dd, it uses more bits for encoding sound so it should sound better :D

nah it the 3bd's, but i prefer it anyway, i like more action coming out of the rears anyway, thx, is basically 20-20 all the way around, lucas feels surround should be that , and that all you speakers should handle the full bandwith, thats why all the rec. spks are the exact same size, so anything can go to any speaker, and now you have dts es, which uses a rear center channel, the difference on recievers is if it will do it discreat or not. :wink:

DTS and Dolby Digital, for all intents and purposes are the same. Yes, DTS has "more bandwidth" according to recording devices placed in movie theaters for the purpose of benchmark testing, but to the human ear, I guarantee you couldn't tell the difference.

:wink: I do love it! Now that in addtiion to DirecTV's HD I'm getting OTA Digital TV I'm getting spoiled. STV absolutley sucks now compared to HDTV/DTV.

I finally tossed in Blade 2 in DTS, and that was a great sound effect movie, the compter graphed fighting was a bit to obvious and somewhat corny :(
