Breaker/fuse box in the trunk.
I am looking for ideas on a breaker box or something in my trunk. I have two wires from the front to the rear. One is a 4 AWG and the other is a 1/0 AWG. Both are JL Audio ECS wire. I need to build some setup for me to remove the box system that sits back there for the electronics. At the moment the box takes up almost 1/3rd the trunk and has the following in it.
2 P4 3.6ghz - 350Watt 12v ATX psu's
1 E6450 JL Audio
2 500/1 Slash Bigblock JL Audio (might add another, not 100% sure yet)
1 1000watt invertor (Powers misc items in the car that cannot run on simple 12v/5v power.)
1 EVDO Cell modem (Runs 24/7 and is pretty much a IP router with GPS and other items built in)
1 IP based 6 channel CCTV system for remote video monitoring.
There are also other mis items running in the car but are 12v based that i have designed.
My big question is has anyone seen anything that would make it really easy to remove this system from the car when needed and not have to pop the fuses from the front. As they are hidden behind the dash and require alot of work to pull. Was thinking of a inline fuse block and pulling the wire from it. The problem is that i made the box fit the rear so tight that i have very little room to play with. So now i need something that is very compact but i can access from behind the seats. I have the space where the opening is and i cannot get to anything behind that plastic shield. Anything you guys can think up will be very helpfull. Oh yeah, i am removing the ac pump to mount a second alt into the car for some extra power.
