Hi guys,

I hear the spoiler rattling the trunk. I would like to add some rubber between the two but i cannot figure out how to take the spoiler off to do this, any ideas?

I haven't tried it yet but Blak used cardboard and said it works great. Just get some thin stuff and fold it up and wedge it in there.

weather stripping / thick insulation tape also works well.

take the carpeting off of the inner side and load up a bunch of really thick sound deadener. Over lap in sections that seem to rattle the most — most likely where it's bolted.

I had this problem way back in the day. I had a supra spoiler on my 93 civic coupe :P...I loaded up the bolt area with 3 or 4 layers of sound deadener. It killed the problem flawlessly ;)

...you can only imagine — don't laugh btw haha

I put the spoiler on in 96 (pre-Hot Import Nights)...Imagine being in Milwaukee with a modded civic in the mid-90's :D Plus, I was in high school and everyone had Mustangs and Camaro's.

It was revolutionary...in the land of harley's, I had a modded import with a big f'n spoiler haha. Three years later, the trend caught on...couple more years, and it just got obnoxious.

Just to gain some respect back LOL, I converted her over to this in 01:

im pretty sure if you remove the inner capert-like lining on the underside of your truck you can access the screws for the spoiler, i remember tightening mine when i first installed my subs, but as of now i discovered its easier to just use thin stips of styrafoam or rubber to deaden the sound

I took my spoiler off and layered it with Dynamat extreme. I got over 300lbs of that stuff in my ride :o . works great!
