hmmm... i would def say go with the mp3... I have a Pioneer Premiere mp3 and .... its great to have 200+ songs on one cd... so easy to find your music if you burn the cd right too. Make folders and whatnot ... anyway good luck :D

I would say get the second one. From the way it looks the first one is just a control center. You will need an external amp to power your speakers. All together that'll lead to an expensive combination.

Do you have your heart set on alpine?!? What are you looking for in a cd player?

The alpine vpower is AMAZING! It has so much power and rarely ever distorts. It RMS's at something like 27 watts. The only downfall is you need to run the power directly to your battery

That one is very nice. It does have an internal amp, "MOSFET50 internal amp"

Personally, I'd buy the Alpine c/w MP3 decoder and save up a little $ to buy a smaller amp that you don't mind replacing when you decide to ugrade. But hey, that's just me.

i have the 7893 in my corolla and to be honest i should of gotten another kenwood, its not bad but there are a few downfalls that i really dont like to much about it, if your looking for a attractive unit and can play reasonably loud, its not a bad choice, my one problem with alpine lately is that they've moved off shore and are being built in china :-?

Ebay is about as cheap as you are going to get. Installing a cdplayer yourself is very very easy, just buy the wiring harness from crutchfield and 30-60minutes later you have a new cd player. Now if you start playing with amps, now thats a different story

i like my alpine, and if u're going for looks, i personally think those are the best. i have the 7893 and i love it. i was thinking about switching to the 7995 since i got an amp now, so i can have the mp3 option as well. that'll come later on though.
