Anyone With Focal Components???

Postby ZXLNT » Sun Dec 10, 2006 12:58 am

Finally I have happened upon a very nice set of Focal 6 1/2 inch componets. I was wondering if anyone had installed these in a Gen 1 or 1.5. Anything I should look for? I have Infinity Components in there now and fit without much problem, however the Focals appear to have a much larger magnet and possible more depth. Pretty excited to get them in. Going to swap out my old Crutchfield 4X35 with a PPI 4200AM I got cheap to drive them. Should sound good!!

The JBL's are pretty beefy speakers, so I wouldn't worry too hard about clearance issues. The only problem may be with the factory plastic baffle - just build a new one!
