what do you mean plate thing? if you're trying to take the radio out, take the detachable faceplate off, use the radio keys to pry the trim ring out, then use the radio keys to take the radio out.

after i detach the face there is a black thing that i want to take off in order to get behind where the cd player is

so i want to take the black thing off in so i can run a wire to the back of the deck
