Why do the specs on USAcoustics amps say 12.9v input power? Does that mean you have to get a power converter for them??

I might be wrong here, but I think that is the voltage they test/rate them at. In other words they have a more realistic power rating than an amp that is listed at 14.4 volts, as your car usually doesn't give an amplifier that much power.

No, they should wire up just like any other amplifier.
Let's just pretend I didn't grow up, or you're going to be terribly disappointed.

TadS was correct with his statement. You car usually runs around 13volts so the power measurements (watts) that they give should be pretty close to what you'll actually see.
