installing head unit in a 4th gen camry

So how difficult is it to install a head unit in a 99 camry? I ordered from crutchfield so will come with the harness and dash kit. Someone told me that it's a pita because you have to pull apart the dash and he defined it as "pull and pray". Any validity to this?

very easy..

remove outter bezel.. take out the ash tray and pull slightly frolm the bottom.. it will come loose..be careful not to bend it

4 10mm bolts holding it in place..
2-4 phillips heads on each side of the unit

remove the brackets that were just unscrewed

screw in brackets on new unit

attach harness and adaptor to new unit.
use connectors to match each wire to the correct wire (ie power to power, left speaker to left speaker and so on

reverse directions..

1 hour if you have some experience and tools MAX maybe 20 mins if ur real quick!!
need wheels? www.memoryfab.com - ask for david
