has anybody put in a aftermarket headunit in and tried hooking the headunit back up to the stock amp?

lol so very true, but why might I ask would you want to do this? If you did this you would have to undo all of your wiring work that you did to make the aftermarket unit work? For what purpose I do not know lol give us a little bit more info
