Hi there,

I am new here but I need you guys help. I have a 2000 2000 Solara. I am trying to change its stereo system. I saw a nice double-din Kenwood stereo in Bestbuy. However, my car has 8 speakers and the Kenwood system only could drives 4 speakers with 50W for each speaker.

Could you I use it in my car? If so, I will buy it tomorrow.

Thank you so much

^LOL!

No, it's Toyota's fancy way of advertising that it has 2 tweeters, 2 fronts and 2 2-way speakers in the back if I'm not mistaken (the only logical explanation that I can think of), so you technically have 6. Still, it's optimized for 4, but usually the front speakers and tweeters are wired on the same circuit, which also stands true for luxury cars with 13 physical speakers.

Thank you guys.

I did a lot of research on it. I think my car has TWO amps, how could I bypass the JBL amp? I can't find the wire connection examples.....

Could you tell me how to connect those wires?

Thank you so so so much..... Big big hug

Welcome, you should introduce yourself in the intro section.

As far as your amp bypass issue, there is a tutorial on that. Just search for these things. 8)

Yeah, just get some wire caps and connect them to each other. (IE: Red to red) One important thing to remember is the stripes on the wires. Like the grey wires have a black stripe on them. Be sure to match the single wire color to the other and the one with the stripe to the other. This is to differentiate between negative and positive. This all will make more sense when you are actually doing it. Hope that helps too.
