HELP! Gen 1 Amp cable!

HELP! Gen 1 Amp cable!

Postby Jakecallun20 » Sat Jan 19, 2008 3:54 pm

Where can I run it through? I couldn't for the life of me find a place. I tried on both drivers and passengers side. My friend who was helping me told me I could drill a hole in the floor right in front of the pass. seat (amp going under seat) and run the cable literally under the car to the battery.... but I don't want to do that unless there is absolutely no other way. Please guys, I really need help.

If u have a gen 1 i would suggest you drill a whole through the driver side firewall. I found a great spot that looks as thought it was already a hole then filled with sheet metal. Ill try to get a pic for u tomorrow.

I found the driver side easier since u have to use less wire.

yeah. you gotta remove the glove box, the black piece connected to the bottom of it, the trim along the door and possibly the fuse cover down on the left. It'll all make sense when you get in there. Good luck and let me know if you need more help.

well personally i did and i would suggest you do so you can have a clear view into the inside of the dash where the hole will be...its very easy couple of screws you need to take unscrew

i actually ran my 0/1 gauge cable through there i was thinking about drilling but decided to go this way and it turned out to be a great easy way

Yeah. I'm glad I found it before my friend convinced me that I had to drill!
