since i had to replace my stereo last week and i need a new sub, i decided im gonna go ahead and replace everything. Everything is gonna be all alpine except for my current h/u, amp, and new sub. Up front i'm going with either...

http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=5240
or
http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=5812

and out back will probably be....
http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=6259
and for powering it all...
http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=3729

Now i got a question.....for the guys using a multichannel amp, where did you mount it? I don't want to stick it in the trunk and have to run miles of wires all over the car. I can't think of any other place to put without dealing with heat issues. Any suggestions?

i'm still debating on it. I really don't pay attention to road noise, but the thing that really gets to me is hearing my trunk rattle. I'll probably go ahead an tear everything apart and dynamat it. It's gonna be a long project cuz i'm saving up to go home for xmas. I'll just buy one thing at a time and set aside a weekend and like.....a 30 pack and get to work lol

Hey, you should get the MRP F-300. That's what i got, it puts out 50 watts X 4 RMS. It should only cost about the same, but you get more power. But either way, you are terribly underpowering the Type R, and especially the Type X

so the first set of components would be a better option with the bigger amp? Cool deal, thanks for the info

I don't know anywhere else you could mount the amp other than under a seat if you don't want it in the trunk. It's not that much wiring if you run the wires(excluding the front speaker wires. I did those on the sides of the interior) under the center console.
