For anyone that remembers my audio build last summer, i bought one 12 alpine type r, the 2 ohm version with a single 1.75cu ft ported box and an mrp-1000 to power it. Well, stupid me didn't realize i was putting a 4 ohm load on the amp. It sounded good, but i wanted more. Then on of the holes i drilled got all f*cked up (i used it for a different sub before, the holes were slightly different) So i had it like that for a while, you could hear the difference in the bass from the type r moving around in the box. So as a post-deployment present to myself (besides the flat screen i bought when i got back 8) ) i upgraded from this

to this

So now i'll have a 2 ohm load on the amp. Time to go piss off the neighbors. Next up is replacing the battery with a Kinetik HC800

holy sh*t...this set up brought out all the rattles haha. I lost all my trunk space. I might consider mounting my amps to the back seat so i can push the box closer. Damn.it's time for some dynamat too

Nice to see that the R12 was busy multiplying while you were gone! They look loud!

I have those very same subs in my maxima....with an
MRP-M600 running them. They're technically underpowered, but... I'll honestly say that if I knew they'd pound that hard...I would've only done one. I love them. Excellent choice bro.

Here's a pic of my 10's:
