I have a 2000 Camry and I plan to upgrade my front speakers. I found two brands that I like. McIntosh and Morel. So have any one used the McIntosh MSX486 Coaxial 6-1/2" speakers and Morel Tempo 6 Component 6-1/2" speakers? Any difference between those two speakers? Or which speaker is better? Thanks :D

I've never heard of Morel either, but McIntosh sounds familiar. Thats not saying I know anything about them. It's just that I've heard of them.

How did you come about these speakers?

My personal favorite is Diamond audio. I sat in a listening booth and listened to all different brands and the Diamonds were a clear cut winner in my book.

Of course, different people will have different opinions. Diamond Audio is just my opinion.

Good luck with your choice.

Very good companies...very low key...but hard to find.

McIntoshs are nice but difficult to find,

for coax speakers you might consider focals for a higher end coax speaker

and components, im all about Dynaudio which are similar to the Morels
but much more open sounding speaker

really all depends on your ears.

QuickSEV6, I found Morel on www.woofersetc.com and McIntosh because their amps and found out they also make speakers. I will go to my local audio shop and listen the Diamond audio. Thanks :D

Aotoyota, What is difference between coax and components speakers? The components speakers is more better quality?

99BlackSandv6, Is ok hehe.... I have Infinity Kappas, too. Those speakers sound nice.

Cool, right on!

Coax speakers don't generally have external crossovers so the sound can be muddy. Components are usually higher quality and I would highly recommend them. The components are setup with the tweeters separate from the woofers so you can get better imaging.

Mcintoshs is a high end audiophile compagny, who makes car audio products. http://www.mcintoshlabs.com/products/Car-Audio.asp

they make products who look usualy a bit "old" but all the research is about sound, not the fancy look. Like my Nakamichi DVD player.
