Suggestion for TV/DVD/MP3/VCD Headunit?

Postby Jackass-Jeff » Thu Sep 18, 2003 11:14 am

Any suggestions? I'm looking at the Kenwood KVT-911DVD, the Eclipse AV8132, and waiting for the new Eclipse (due in Oct. or Nov.) that will have a built in NAV

Eclipse AV 8132:
http://www.eclipse-web.com/products/av/top.html#av8132

Kenwood KVT-911DVD:
http://www.kenwoodusa.com/product/produ ... uctId=2375

I can get both units for the same price... but I want a few other suggestions too!

Thanks!

Alpine has the IVA-D900, however, it lists for $2300, much more than the Kenwood, not sure about the Eclipse.

I love my IVAD-900. I had Eclipse 8022. Had a problem w/ random popping of speakers. The stereo shop traced to problem in unit. Swapped out for IVA-D900 for $200 more, well worth it! Also has more features than the 8022!

If you see all the better stuff around me, you'd be relaxed! I'll just have to scratch up the "DVD" 'paint' or whatever on the headunit before mounting it so that it will get less attention... but seriously... who, besides Solara owners and to-bo Solara owners, would take a look in a Solara? =P From the outside, none would be the wiser. Plus I will be getting an alarm =P Which model did you have again, Mike? =P
