picked it up today :D :D :D :D :D :D My long time dealer (this was my family's 8th purchase from this dealer) somehow finagled almost exactly what I wanted. He couldn't get one w/ the HID headlights, but we have NAV and Stability control in the ONLY color combo my wife wanted... Will post pics as soon as I get some taken...

DIOs include the wind screen and they're installing my sirius adapter next week!

Cheers,
Kevin Druff

been lurking for a while as we debated what car to buy... test drove an Acura TL-S and a hybrid camry... wife finally decided that she wanted a convertible now before we have kids since she won't want one while we have kids...

Welcome :D

My wife did the same thing and got a convertable, she had an '04. Now that we have a child, she sold it and got a RX350...congrats on the ride!

I don't know what mods I'm going to make. I've been considering the rear sway bar... I'd also like the HID headlights, which the dealer didn't order (my wife's two deal breakers were color and nav)... I'd also like to install the iPod adapter so I can use my steering wheel controls... Is it possible to have both the Sirius and the iPod adapters?

Cheers,
Kevin

Very nice... how do you like your RX350? My wife wants a tahoe, or possibly a sequoia, depending on how they look after the redesign, when we get ready to replace our highlander.

I wish they would make the RX sturdier, like they have with the new highlander. I need something to tow our 4,000 pound skiboat (which the new highlander can thankfully do)...

Welcome to the boards.

I saw a blond lady driving one with the same colors and did she look nice in it. I would suggest getting the rear sway bar and the front strut tower brace. Both are a must for the convertible, improves handling immensely without giving up any noticeable ride comfort.

It's not bad, it rides very nice. I like the 2GR motor, it's pretty peppy. But, size wise I think it's a little small. My wife is now looking at the '07 GX470, a lot more spacious. I like the V8, although the power isn't bad, we don't do any towing so to me we don't need to spend the extra money on gas. The sequoia would probably be alot better for your needs then the RX, I don't think it's all that good for towing. Well, maybe the AWD version with the height adjustable air suspension.
