Just wanted to introduce myself to the boards here. I just purchased a 99 SLE yesterday I have been cruising the forums to get myself more familiar with what I'm getting myself into. I've owned a Toyota before ('97 Camry w/ Molly Design package), so I'm pretty confident in the purchase, just looking for tips and tricks to make the new ride a little more interesting.

It's definitely a change of pace getting into this car coming from my 350Z so I'll definitely have to look at some go fast mods here pretty soon. I'm on a serious budget (I sold the Z to pay off some bills, so I can't really put too much into it right away) so I'm thinking of a CAI for starters and then going from there. Maybe a body kit (possibly the Kaminari) and some new wheels (if I can find a good deal on something used) after that.

I haven't taken any pics of it myself due to some delays in taking possession of it (seller was a tool), so I swiped one from the seller's ad. I just need to figure out how to post it. I've done some quick searches looking for a how to on this but I haven't found anything yet. Any tips?

Small. But, looks clean looks like you got the whole package in that car. Like the color too. Since it's rare to find 5-speed Solara is it auto or manual?

The color is a little light for my taste, I wish it were a little darker (coming from a history of red, bright white, black and blue cars), but it was a good deal. At least I hope so. The CEL went on when my wife took it in for emissions and the seller had to change out the O2 sensors. Hopefully that will be the last issue I will face!

It's an auto. My Z was a 6 speed and I was getting sick of driving it in rush hour traffic (32 miles each way for over an hour) so I was specifically looking for an auto. Plus, I will probably be handing it down to my daughter in about 2 years.

She will enjoy it. First put on the TRD Kit and some Rims then she will be rolling. Beside I don't know why but, alot of people do say it's a chick car. Even tough it did have a TRD package....

Edit: this is Hari car viewtopic.php?f=8&t=49759 his missing the black piece on the kit and with those rims it kind of reminds me of the Z's.
