Just bought my Solara!

Many of you know that I have been deciding whether or not to buy the Solara I've driven, cared for, and modded since 2006, or get another car. Well I realized I couldn't part with the Solara regardless of the reason, plus my girlfriend said she can't see me driving anything else :D

So as of this morning, the Solara is MINE!!!

Legally that is.

I celebrated by taking the Solara and my girlfriend to USF (Tampa) to visit some friends before we both leave for college Sunday.

Now from now on I'll be doing my own oil changes (Mobil 1 or Royal Purple depending on how im doing financially), so if anyone has a tutorial on how to do that, id really appreciate it.

tutorial on doing oil change?

loosen up oil cap, take out dipstick

get underneath car remove drain plug and let all oil drain into a pan

after all is done take off oil filter make sure rubber seal does not stay on the car. Clean it up

put drain plug back in

put new oil filter and tighten it pretty hard

put oil in about 5.5 qts.

turn on car until sensor on dashboard goes away, turn it off

check oil and if all is well your done! :D

btw congrats!
