Hello there,

I am caudiva7 and I am a new solaraguy. I own a 2004 Toyota Solara and I love it! It has been my baby and quite reliable. However recently, I was told by the dealership that I need a new HVAC control unit which they are quoting me to cost $1020!!! They also said the part cost about $900 of that amount so I am on the search for one now at a much cheaper price. If anyone has any information, please let me know.

In the Chicago area.

Welcome! Why do you need a new unit, what is wrong with the original?

EDIT...I saw your other post, I agree try eBay. Surely you can get one for way less than $900.

Sounds like a junk yard search. Can't be many folks looking for that part either so you should be able to find it in some totaled Solara.

P.S. If you find the part, you can install it yourself. No need to pay for an hour of labor for 10 minutes of work.
