It was my home for 23 years so I know the area well.

^ awesome, I havent been to the chi area much... I have been there a few times but always on a bus. It would be sick to all roll together, always a good time! its like 3 hours from GVSU it sounds like, so Im sure we could meet up at some point. Break out the blue painters tape!

Last year I remember Reggie was there but rolled in before I did and later Rafael (S15lara) rolled in..I have no clue when Tacti showed up.. I remember Philsophicaljt rolled up with me so..

It'd be cool to get an organized get-together before we all roll in..

The show is on Sunday. Personally, I'd like to hit the town on Friday night or Saturday am. I usually spend the time on Sat cleaning up the 'Lara. I guess that won't be a problem this year. LOL.

The last couple of times I went, I stayed at the Hilton in Oakbrook Shopping center. The hotel has a very safe parking garage with power outlets so I detailed the car there. (Out of the sun)

Saturday night we'd usually meet up and cruise downtown. If HIN is that night, I'd love to hit it. Then we can drive up the LSD (Lake Shore Drive) and get night shots like the great pics Mike C took. (With the city skyline in the background and the Navy Pier fireworks going off at 10pm)

There's tons of stuff to do downtown or in the burbs. No need to organize it till August. But trust me, we'll have a good time so keep your schedule free.

It'll be nice to finally get to meet the famous Jeff!

Sounds good to me, Ive never been to Chicago before. I may also visit the parents on Friday that weekend so I would be leaving from Toledo which would break up my driving time a bit.

it says nightshift northern illinois on the HIN website is august 23rd...

I didnt know how many days of a deal this was, we'll see how im doing money wise by then ill make it to some of it at least though.

Damon, don't worry about funds. We were college students once. We accept performace parts in trade for hotel and food! LOL. J/K We've always managed to have a blast without breaking the bank. This isn't BMWGuy.com. Jeff will let us in the back door of the convention center. LOL.

yeah i should be alright, i guess i cant complain about hotels and gas when i look at how much i blew on my damn car it should work out! i dont drink either, so that will save me some dough, haha

If you guys need the hookup for a few models or whatnot, or a nice place to stay around the town or whatnot, let me know. I'll give you the best hospitality I can give. But don't get your hopes up about MY backdoor. that crap stays shut!

No $hit HIN is the same weekend! Well in that case I will go up there all weekend! Unfortunately this is going to cost me a lot since I do enjoy a little boozing I just hope HIN doesnt steel too much of the crowd for Sunday at Elmhurst.

On the plus side I just checked out their webpage and they are coming to Columbus May 31st! I live like 20mins from the convention center! So it looks like I will be going twice this year! Maybe we should have another SG gathering that weekend too!
