so is the meet will be held at jones beach or rooselvelt field ? when are you plannig on havong it

I'm down with Roosevelt field and Jones beach. Just lemme know when it is. Weekends would be the best time.

well, I guess its not decided yet...but, to get to Jones Beach...

From Conn:

I think you follow signs from I-95 to I-695, towards the throgs neck bridge. Take the Throgs neck bridge to the Cross Island South, to the LIE
East.
Take the LIE East to Exit 38 - Northern State Parkway East

Take the M-31 Exit for the Meadowbrook Parkway South and pay for parking at the tollbooths after you pass exit 9 - its like 7 or 8 dollars for the day (this is your beach fee too)

From there, you'll follow signs for Ocean Parkway East, and start passing parking lots for Jones Beach parking fields - i can give better and updated directions If we choose a particular field to meet at.

I was looking at the Jones BEach website for the events that they will be having, and we should def pick a weekend with no events or concerts, and a saturday that will be good for the majority of the people interested in going.

Jones beach sounds good. Ive never been there, since Jersey has its own perfectly good shore. Is there a boardwalk there?

I dont even know what roosevelt field is. Whats there?

if u need directions type in under a search like tommy hilfiger stadium and it will show you how far the stadium is on the jones beaches

We are about 50mi from Wantagh, NY, where Jones Beach is. Yahoo's at 1 hour 14 minutes.

jones runs all the way through long beach,oceanside(where i live), freeport, it runs along the lower exits on the meadow brrok, oceanparkway and watagh parkway even roberT MOses

There is a boardwalk - but not filled w/ entertainment like the jersey shore really - theres a snackbar and ice cream stand, and a few other miscellaneous things - the restaurant that was there is under construction

Long Beach has a boardwalk, but thats more difficult for a get together - and I havent walked on it since i'm like 7 - so i dont really know whats up there either.

I'm def going, there's a ferry that runs from Bridgeport CT to Port Jefferson, so thats what I'll do, save some gas money and mileage....
