I need to ask you guys something, before we make anything final tonight. We have two options to start off our day in San Diego County:
#1) Meet up at a mall near here, and from there (aournd 11am) take off to Historic Julian and grab lunch at 12 there. (45 miles east) The drive is an hour but nice. There's mainly backroads, but really nice scenery. After we could drive to down town and take a quick 10-15 min ferry ride to Coronado, and back. Then it would be off to the meet. We wouldn't be hungry at this point yet since we ate at 12. So after meeting up with a few people we could go to Mt. Soledad in La Jolla and then dicuss whether any of you wanted to go get a few drinks at Dave and Busters and get some dinner or check out a casino.
#2) Forget about the drive to Julian. Just drive down to Old Town, and have a mexican meal down there. We could meet in old town. Parking is tricky, but you can easily find a spot near by. Then go to down town, and check out the bay via a quick ferry ride to Coronado and back ($5) or a 1hr bay tour ferry which costs $12. Then check out Mt. Soledad before the mini meet. Then go to the meet. And eat at 4:30 at the meet area. Then possibly hang out somewhere else, based on how you guys feel at that point.
If we have extra time, we can check out Balboa Park as well, but I don't think that time will allow that. My vote is for option one. But you guys have to make drive out here, so please give me a preference and we'll choose an option based on what the Solaraguys want. Thanks for your assistance. I'll give you a meeting point and directions tonight once we have at least a couple votes.
