AW DUDE I missed your birthday!

I actually was supposed to go down to college park, MD on the 22nd for a party but I never did cuz I didnt wanna drive all the way down just for that.

I woulda came if you gave me a call...

Ah well...

Yea BBQ sounds good. Probably best if it was around minh's or north in MD, If you know any good MD parks; itll cut the ride down a little for me.

Raycarlo knows of a park in MD where you guys can also consume large amounts of alcohol and not have the cops give you hell about it. Raycarlo?

Hummm, another BBQ meet?

Anyway, Great Falls park is right off the 495 beltway.

Located just 15 miles from the Nation's capital, the Great Falls of the Potomac (a name given the area by the first European colonists) is considered the most spectacular natural landmark in the D.C. metropolitan area. Here, the Potomac River builds up speed and force as it falls over a series of steep, jagged rocks and flows through a narrow gorge. This dramatic scene makes Mather Gorge, named after the first director of the National Park Service, a popular site with local residents and tourists from around the world who are visiting the Washington area.

The falls consist of cascading rapids and several 20 foot waterfalls with a total 76 foot drop in elevation over a distance of 3500 feet. Arising from a calmer and much broader flow upstream, the Potomac constricts at Great Falls from 2500 feet just above the falls to between 60 and 100 feet along the gorge for over a mile. The Great Falls of the Potomac display the steepest and most spectacular fall line rapids of any eastern river.

Otherwise, Seneca State Park off the route 270 is a nice place as well.

The park, comprised of 6,300 acres, extends along 14.75 scenic miles of Seneca Creek, as it winds its way to the Potomac River. The Clopper Day-Use Area contains many scenic areas, including the 90-acre Clopper Lake, surrounded by forests and fields. Picnicking, boat rentals, trails and a tire playground are just some of its recreational opportunities. A restored 19th century cabin and a self-guided path interpret the history of the area. Nearby, the Schaeffer Farm Trail Area offers over 10 miles of marked trails for hiking and mountain biking. For the more adventuresome hiker, the 16.5-mile Seneca Creek Greenway Trail follows the entire course of the river. During May, the Schwartz peony gardens and field plants are in bloom.

and guys, I don't think they allow alcohol in public parks at all. We just have to bypass the system, LOL.

Hey guys, i still haven't gotten around to calling the park in maryland (gilbert run) about their alcohol consumption laws, but from the website i think they allow beer permits if you rent out one of their pavillions, so if we want to drink it will cost us some money, about 100 for the pavillion and another 25 for the beer permit, i'll try to call them when i get a chance.
