AUGUST Roadtrip & Chicago meet

Ok, so April is out. I'll reschedule my vacation for the Elmhurst show. I think its Aug 23rd.

It actually works out better for me. I've been trying to save enough money for a big screen TV before the baseball season starts. If I would go to Chicago in April, it probably wouldn't have happened.

So everyone, please try to make it to Chicago for the Elmhurst show and we'll have our own SolaraGuy meet. Should be a great time.

Can anyone confirm the date of the Elmhurst show? I can't seem to find an official announcement of the show.

As the title states , Sunday August 24th 2008 Our 7th annual car show.

Roll in after 10am - Roll out at 5pm. Cut off for Judging is 1pm.

This IS a NCCA judged show event. We hired the NCCA crew to handle this for us.

Entry Fee with shirt and food/drink tickets same as last year @ 20 bucks.

There's parking across the street for people that want to look

White Sox are playing the Baltimore that Saturday afternoon. We should pull together and get a group of cheap seats. I'm all for skipping the nightclub thing and keeping it a little lower key.

My bad, I edited my post. Cubs are out of town. Sox are playing on the 22nd though.

I wasn't sure where to post this info, but for some reason, I think this is the best place to say this:

I may be moving back to Chicago.

Chicago is my home and I miss it dearly. I've been living near Dallas Texas for 11 years now. I moved to Dallas to be close with family and for a better climate.

Well, all of my nieces and nephews are all grown up and I really dont have any strong ties to Texas, so I'm considering moving back home.

Of course, it's all dependant on the job situation. I checked monster and careerbuilder. I applied at a couple of jobs... we'll see what happens.

I mentioned this idea to some friends and family in Chicago and everyone is willing to come down here and help me move.

This is not a certainty, but so far I like the idea.

I'll keep you all updated.
