Planning Another Texas SG Meet

Planning Another Texas SG Meet

Postby LEE337 » Fri Jul 02, 2010 6:24 pm

Its that time again for the next Texas Meet.

This will be the thread to get all the details worked out.
Once we get a date, time, and place figured out.
I can start another thread with full details and all that good stuff.

I want everything thought out and planned out, cuz once I post the actual thread I wont be able to edit it after 12 hours.

Here is what I have so far:
October 16th or 30th (im leaning towards the 30th, a halloween meet LOL)

What we need:
A city
A place in that city
A time to meet at that place in that city

For those who missed out on the last Texas Meet, heres what ya missed:
viewtopic.php?t=46231

Everything is open for discussion.
Please post up your opinions and tell me what your work schedual is like.
Maybe this is enough time to be able to ask off work to be able to make it out.

Sounds good so far,

Plenty of time to schedule and plan, I'm in NW Austin so anywhere near Lake Travis good for me IDK about other ppls preference but I wouldn't mind San Marcos or San Antonio if thats more convienent for others.

well, I'm working backwards on my car. I just sold my supercharger, so if I bring it, it will be pretty much stock.

I vote for a Sunday meet in Waco. I think Waco is the most central city and Sunday works better for me.

Waco would be cool to have the meet.
I live here and there isnt sh!t to do in this town.

There is not any good canyon type roads or cool spots to hang out.
All we have is Valley Mills DR.
If you know what "Ralley on the Valley" is then you know thats all Waco has.

I was thinkin:
Austin
Dallas
Houston
San Antonio
ETC.....

Throw out somemore TX cities!!!
Jason tells me there is a good track in Houston.
Would be cool to track our Laras for the SG Meet. 8)
Of course that means "Mo' Money, Mo' Money, Mo' Money"

Well, Dallas or Fort Worth would be much better for me. I just said Waco because I think it is the most central location for us all.

Hey long time. Well sorry guys, not this year for me. I'm out of the military now, but got offered a job with KBR in Iraq. I leave July 18th to process in Houston, then deploy 6 days after that, My first 4 month leave won't be until mid December. Also, the wife is dead on about trading the Lara in. She wants a car that she can drive ;( So, the Lara will be gone either before I leave or in December. Sucks cause I have all that TRD crap, but o well...gotta take a loss. So, I don't think it would be fair to all the 4 and 6 cylinders if I showed up in my 6.0L LS2 Trans Am, that has been stroked to a 408cu lol. Well, it was fun while it lasted and yea....I'll most likely shed a few tears when I hand the keys over... hit me up on face book anyone. richard heubach is the name. Take care and gl with the new Texas meet!

Congrats on the job Richard!
Sucks that your not gona be at the meet.
Maybe you can talk the wife into driving the Lara.
She can fill in for on SG while your away. :D

Waco would be a great spot for a meet on a Friday or Saturday night.
"The Valley" is pretty dam cool after 10pm.
I know lots of people and a killer spot to hang.
Also some good places to race.
There is a big diversity of cars here. (hoppers, ricers, sleepers, classics, mustangs, TA's, diesels, big wheels)
Other than that, not a whole lot of other choices.

So I vote Waco too then.

11,995 for them....they gave me 7,000 lol.....and they took out the double din touch screen unit i had and replaced it with some cheap ass autozone radio LMAO. I shoulda stripped the girl down to stock, but too much work. And to make it all WORSE...the wife HATES the g6 and made the dealership void the contract but we still have to buy another car through them...so now we getting a G8 or a new Camry. I just don't understand women.......She HAD to have the G6, till less then 20 miles of driving it realized how small it was. You know, my Solara was wider, slightly longer, bigger inside, and a huge ass trunk....and it was a 2 door!!!!!! O well...I bent over and took it up the butt....guess all these years in the army helped me prepare for sucha big sand paper covered dildo!
