Intake noise?

i got the injen intake wit the cai extension. when i was using the intake as a short ram i had that cool loud noise from 4-5 rpm. as soon as i installed the cai extension it only made the noise near 6!! what gives? did i install it wrong? my friend said that the injen filter is crap and that i should get a k&n filter and that would make the noise come back, i dunno if thats true though. have you guys ever experianced this?

my friend has a 99 maxima with a cai, you can hear that thing louder inside then outside, and its also behind his foglight just like mine

u sure the filter is tightened?

well do u have the charger? if yea, it should make that stereo sourround sound with the whinning, it's so good to hear

na, no supercharger car has 115,000 miles. to old to supercharge. still no intake growl

I think what he was saying is that his car has already 115Kmiles on it, so its too old to handle a supercharger.

i replaced my filter with a k&n one on the extension, throwing the injen filter out. I can still hear that sucking sound :lol:

, but i know what you mean. May not be much of a growl, but it's still there

i guess i got too tired to read last night, lol, ok, but i think it's really depends on how you treat the eninge for that 115k miles. One of my friend put a turbo on FC that already has 90k on it still run faster than my car, but of course, some old parts needs to be change.
